We were sent to the PICU for my daughter, G. I was here alone with her overnight. G is 6 months and she was crying. She had orders for a 24 Hr. EEG, and I couldn’t pick up my baby to soothe her. Shivani was there and she was so sweet and helpful in helping us find solutions to soothe her and arrange her bed so she could eat and be comfortable. Shivani found a noise machine and various other soothers. She was very patient and compassionate with me throughout our 3-day stay. I looked forward to seeing her during the day. She is a wonderful nurse. There were many tests and procedures that had G distraught and in pain. Shivani was always a soothing and reassuring person to have around who was sensitive to our needs and treated us like real people and she explained everything clearly before it was done. And did a good job of mentally preparing me for whatever was coming next.
