My daughter has been in and out of the hospital for 8 months and once again here from October to November and was missing Halloween. Shoni went out and bought my daughter an outfit, a pumpkin to carve, bought the things she needed to carve the pumpkin, bought decorations and decorated A's room. To top it off she did this on her day off. This was way and beyond her job. She is amazing, she has a heart of gold!

My patient was a 21-year-old, admitted for sepsis and a lot of stomach issues. The patient was very, very sweet and depressed due to her unexpected health issues that she was dealing with for last 8 months. She mentioned to Shoni that she wanted to celebrate Halloween and carve a pumpkin. Shoni had the next day off and bought her a pumpkin, carving tools, stuff to decorate the room and an outfit for the patient too. The patient was very happy. She carved the pumpkin and the room was decorated. She kept telling me that she saw a pumpkin carved with a colostomy bag on it and she saved the picture from Facebook and wanted to do the same next year but was able to do it this year because the nurse brought everything in to do it. She was my patient the next couple of days and this made me happy too!
