Shylah A Cassidy, RN, CCRN
Shylah is a fabulous nurse who takes excellent care of her patients in the ICU. She is always willing to go above and beyond to make each of her patients feel special and cared for. She takes extra time to wash her patients' hair with shampoo she brings from home, and makes sure they feel like a person despite being critically ill in the ICU.
One day in particular, there was a patient who was in the ICU after a mental health crisis, and Shylah sat with her and just let her talk. She did puzzles with her and by the end of the day, that patient was feeling so much better just because she had someone who genuinely cared about what she had to say. Shylah is a genuine asset to our hospital.
