Siddeeqah Brooks, MSN, RN

I would like to nominate Siddeeqah for the DAISY Award for the exceptional care she provided during my recent seven-day hospital stay. Siddeeqah was my day nurse for three of those days, and each time she walked into my room, I immediately felt supported, safe, and genuinely cared for.

Siddeeqah not only delivered top-tier clinical care but also taught and mentored students—maintaining an impressive balance of professionalism, patience, and compassion. Even with the added responsibility of guiding future nurses, she always made me feel like I was her top priority. She took the time to build rapport, learn what mattered to me, and explain what was happening in a way that kept me informed and comfortable.

On my second-to-last day in the hospital, I became very overwhelmed. Siddeeqah noticed immediately and didn’t hesitate to pause, sit with me, and give me a heartfelt pep talk. She helped ground me, calm my anxiety, and regain the confidence I needed to get through the rest of my stay. That moment of kindness made a lasting impact on me.

Siddeeqah is the kind of nurse who elevates the entire profession—compassionate, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely invested in her patients’ well-being. I am incredibly grateful for the care she provided, and I believe she truly deserves the DAISY Award.
