Moving downstairs from the CardiacICU Sidney Gotto was my first nurse here. She has provided excellent care, been very responsive, and gone beyond in giving me the care that I needed. The first day, there was a discussion regarding how bad the chair and bed were in my room. Sidney indicated that she could get me a new chair and bed! Yeah, right! There was no way. But she did! The bed was so uncomfortable that I only slept in the chair. And the chair did not allow me to raise my legs without assistance. How Sidney was able to find both a chair and bed is beyond me! Talk about going above and beyond. Sidney shows caring and compassion for her patients. Always a smile. I am so impressed with her. She is willing to help in any way possible. I am so lucky to have her as my nurse. And I would like her to be recognized as being exceptional. Thank you.

Sidney is not only a credit to her profession, but she is also compassionate and makes me as a patient feel confident and secure. She sees me as comfortable as she can get me. There should be more “Sidney's” in her profession. She shares her knowledge with me, and it makes me feel secure and comfortable. I just want you to know I really liked her and there should be more like her.

I was working with Sidney today. I was very overwhelmed and had several sick patients. Sidney came in early that day as a resource nurse. She helped a lot when she didn’t have to and I appreciate her kindness.
