My mom was brought to the ER by ambulance, and Sidney was her nurse. Sidney’s attention, professionalism, and great personality immediately were bright. She was very helpful, with quick needs and answering any questions or concerns. On another visit to the ER, Sidney recognized my mom, and immediately, even though she wasn’t her assigned nurse, she jumped in and started briefing the doctors on her condition. Again, her professionalism and skills shined through. Regardless of not being her assigned nurse, Sidney continued to come to check on my mom during her time in the ER. When mom was admitted, Sidney took the time to come and push my mom’s bed to her assigned room in the ICU.

Sidney’s professionalism, dedication to care, and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure patients are taken care of and beyond that, are comfortable and feel secure, are outstanding examples of nursing and more impressively of that seemingly lost art of being a genuinely great person.
