Sierra is an exceptionally caring and considerate Nurse. She is an advocate for all of her patients and goes out of her way to help ensure their comfort. An example of this is a patient who had learning disabilities and required extra time and effort to perform ADLs. Sierra coordinated with the Wound Care team to make sure she was available to assist with extensive dressing changes that caused much pain and distress for the patient. By being available, Sierra decreased the time it took to perform dressing changes and helped ensure the patient was as comfortable as possible. Moreover, Sierra took the time to shampoo the patient's hair and provide a much-needed haircut. The patient was extremely pleased about the haircut and was beaming about it for days afterward. Sierra is a great co-worker and an even greater caregiver for her patients.
