My brother in law had a tragic accident last Monday. A tree limb fell on his head, crushing his skull. This nurse came in on the night shift and he was one of her patients. We were back seeing him and she was very knowledgeable and caring. She was so kind and kept asking us if we needed anything. She didn't have to do that. She could have just come in there and did her thing and went on with her business. The night that his parents made the big decision to take the vent out, I can't remember if she was off or they told her not to come in that night but she said she wanted to take care of him to the end. The patient's brother and I cried because we were so touched by her devotion and kindness. It was literally the hardest moment that we have ever faced and she was there with him. It comforted us so deeply. She has made an imprint on our lives. I will be forever grateful for such a special nurse like her, that God placed her in our lives in such a difficult time.
