Silvanna is an outstanding example of our VNA commitment to community health and wellness services. She participates on our team as an at-large vaccinator and as our lead nurse for our Raritan Bay YMCA Wellness Center partnership. Her commitment to the community, her cultural awareness and sensitivity, and her initiative to find new ways to expand our services for our clients are the key reasons she is a true DAISY Nurse.

Recently, Silvanna has engaged with Middlesex County for lead testing and has established the upcoming Autism Day and New Mom’s Days at our YMCA Wellness Center to serve the greater Perth Amboy area. From the PRIDE parades to health fairs, Silvanna is the most active and engaged team member among our nurses. She identified the new Brookdale College Wellness Center as an opportunity for our PRN team to work with us on campus to bring additional services to the center. She is engaging and welcoming to all community members, and her bilingual language skills are especially appreciated in the large Hispanic community we serve. Furthermore, Silvanna is furthering her education and is on track to receive her RN, and we have naturally been engaged in ensuring her connection with our home care team.
