I was a surgical patient here in October. All of the staff were lovely, cheerful, and professional. One nurse on the night shift, Sylvia, was especially kind, spending a bit more time talking with me and tending to my comfort. I admired her depth of convictions to her profession and to her hospital. It was obvious that nursing was her calling and not just a job. It makes me hopeful for the future of nursing.
