Silva understood that a pediatric patient needed a specific piece of equipment to help their quality of life, however, the benefits the patient had did not cover this type of equipment. The patient's family was unable to afford this equipment. Silvia took it upon herself to ask her community members to help raise the money to cover the equipment. When the equipment was delivered the child and family were happy with what Silvia had done. She expressed her care and compassion by engaging her community to bridge the gap and provide the equipment that provided comfort to the patient.
