This is my Mom's second stay at Union in 2 weeks, and our second time having Simmie. She always has a kind or encouraging word to offer and really feels empathy and cares for her patients and family members. Simmie always remembered to speak to the various doctors about concerns voiced by my mom or myself, as her caregiver. If she said she was coming back in 10 minutes, she returned accordingly. Simmie really helped my mom and me through a difficult time. She wrote a special note to my mom that means the world to both of us. I plan to read the note to my mom daily, as we really bonded with Simmie and our road will be hard during the coming months. Simmie always answered each of my many questions thoroughly. She is very knowledgeable about medicines, procedures, and hospital environment. She is a tremendous asset to Union Hospital and deserves recognition.
