Simone Palacio went above and beyond making sure I was comfortable at all times, not only medically but emotionally as well. She walked me through every question or concern I had and reassured me. She made me feel like more than just a patient or someone on her floor. She walked in with a smile on her face, and we can’t express how much her servant heart meant to me throughout my stay.

Simone stood out in many ways as an extraordinary nurse. When I was first brought to my room after a colonoscopy, the first time she came into my room, she had a big smile on her face and introduced herself to me and then my dad. She has an innate ability to make you feel comfortable, safe, cared for, and all with a positive attitude. She balances her nursing profession along with a personal touch to make you feel like more than just another patient. Her quiet confidence is a reflection of her knowledge and experience, which I imagine makes her a natural leader. No arrogance, unlimited patience and passion, authenticity, and empathy. I can't think of anything she lacks in being an amazing nurse. She goes above and beyond and remembers the little things that make a person feel special. I've never had such gratitude as the care I received from Simone, and I will be forever grateful.

Our family witnessed the excellent care of Simone for our mom on the night shift. She was attentive, responsive, and professional. Moreover, she performed her duties with compassion, understanding, and loving personal care. Her soft-spoken voice was comforting to my mom. After a not-so-good experience on the first night shift with BiPAP, Simone gently convinced her to try it again the next night. While still not easy, my mom did it knowing it would help her breathing. We wish the very best for Simone and her future. Our health care system needs more like her.
