Simone Shaw, Staff Nurse

Simone has not done one thing outstanding because everything she does is outstanding. She has a quiet, gentle demeanor, and is very friendly, but mostly professional! Her nursing skills are above reproach. I have been in the hospital 8 days and she is the only nurse who gave my Synthroid medication, waited the appropriate time, then gave the other meds. I needed to walk and she was the only nurse who would walk with me because I was a “fall risk.” Simone did each task in an orderly manner and checked on me several times a day even if my light wasn’t on. She encouraged me to do tasks I could do but always assisted when needed. I have been a BSN nurse for many years and have seen the best and worst nurses. By far, Simone is one of the most outstanding nurses I’ve known. She cares!
