In January, one of our team member's houses burned down. His family was safe, but they lost everything including some beloved family pets. Within days, St. Joseph Women's Surgical Services (PREOP, PACU, OR, PATT) rounded up gift cards, clothes for the whole family including business attire for his wife, school supplies, and money for necessities. All of this was truly because of the heart of the team. It could have been easy for us to all say, "Well insurance, Red Cross, or EAP will help them, or I just spent all my money on Christmas gifts and Mission Basket." But this group didn't. They are a family and bind together to support one another whether it's celebrating a new baby or stepping up in crisis. This group of team members exemplifies the values of responsibility, dignity, respect, and excellence.
