Skye was not only there for our Mother but she was there for us, the Family.
My Mother was only a patient for a day and a half in ICU but the care she received was beyond amazing. Skye came onto shift at 7 pm and by this time we had made the hardest decision of our lives for our Mom. She had a stroke that affected her sight, speech, and pretty much everything. She also had a bacterial infection in a heart valve and she was not a viable patient for surgery so we had to make the decision of Comfort Care.

Skye was so warm and loving. I felt as if she really took care of Mom. I hardly left Mom's side and she would explain everything she was doing and how it would affect Mom. Skye was not only there for our Mother but she was there for us, the Family. I felt as though this was just not a patient to her. She saw this person as my Mom, my Daughter’s Nana, and My Dad’s love of his life. Skye has such an amazing comfort about her and it was such a blessing to us for her to be a part of what was such a painful thing but Mom passed easily and peacefully and that is what I asked of Skye. Skye will forever be in our hearts for the wonderful care she gave our Mother.
