Not often do nurses get recognized for the help they give in the hospital. Skye was amazing to us both. Being in a hospital, trying to find out where my husband's seizures were coming from, with 8 bolts in his skull, and violent seizures one after another, Skye was there encouraging me, and the nurses there helping us. I don’t know the other nurse's names but while my husband was being combative after his seizure he pulled out his IV. The one nurse was able to get another IV in while all this was going on, and I was very impressed. There Skye was, encouraging her, complementing them all, and letting them know what a good job they had done. I’ve never seen that before, as time went on we talked more and more with Skye. Skye is an amazing nurse not just to us, her patients, but to her staff as well. She went out of her way to get to know us and to make sure my husband was pain-free.

I was a patient this month in the Neuro South care unit at Swedish because of lost vision in my right eye. I was taken such good care of during my entire visit but one nurse shined above them all. Nurse Skye is exceptional in her compassion and care. She is incredibly delightful and I looked so forward to seeing her on her next rotation. She always brought a smile to my face. Not only was she professional but her whole demeanor showed such compassion to make sure I was comfortable. Skye made such a difference in my visit. She is not only extremely skilled but her genuine compassion and care were beyond what I expected. Skye deserves to be recognized. Thank you, Skye, for making a difference, I will never forget it.
