Skylar Deaton is a role model for the other students and has a very caring heart. She is the president of the Student Nurses Association at NKU and works hard to organize outreach activities in the community. She recently organized a Turkey Drive for Thanksgiving and is planning to "adopt a Family" program for Christmas. She not only organized collections from the students for the NACU (Nursing Advocacy Center for the Underserved), but she also brought awareness to the organization's mission to the other students. Her efforts, along with the SNA leadership team, showed commitment and compassion to clients and families with limited resources in their own community.
