DAISY nurse is Skylar Sanders, a nurse on 4 West critical care, was nominated by a woman whose mother recently passed away. Here is an excerpt from her nomination:
Skylar always took care of Mom with the most respect and concern for her care. She not only is a great and competent nurse, but one filled with the passion to uphold the nurses’ oath of kindness and compassion. She understands that it is not only the patient who is in distress, but also the family as well. She was always so kind to our whole family … My Mom was gone … And as I looked up, one of the biggest blessings and comforts was Skylar on the other side of the bed holding Mom’s hand.
We are very proud of Skyler and feel that she is an excellent choice for our June DAISY nurse.
