Skyllar Spears, RN

Skyllar always greeted "veteran" with a warm smile and cheerful hello when she started the day. Her positive spirit and bubbly personality continued even when she had to drain the stinky "JP" bulbs inserted after an abscess was found in his abdomen. They both had a good laugh after that ordeal! Skyllar not only demonstrated clinical expertise in her care, but she kept "veteran" smiling and was always happy to help with anything we both needed to be comfortable. Skyllar was always professional, and her expert compassionate care definitely contributed to his healing! It is for these reasons that we, "veteran" and family nominate Skyllar Spears for the DAISY Award.
