Sofía es una persona que siempre entrega lo mejor de sí misma para proporcionar el más alto nivel de cuidado. Como enfermera, va más allá de sus responsabilidades profesionales al estar atenta a las necesidades tanto de los niños como de sus padres. Su dedicación es ejemplar; por ejemplo, cuando tuvimos a un paciente con una hospitalización prolongada, ella se esforzó al máximo para garantizar que sus hermanos pudieran visitarlo. Incluso les llevó un regalo para compartir en el día de la visita.​

En situaciones especiales, como cuando le tocó trabajar el turno de noche, Sofía demostró su compasión y creatividad. Organizó una emotiva ceremonia junto con sus compañeras, durante la cual lanzaron globos con mensajes para recordar a los niños que habían fallecido durante el año. Esta iniciativa involucró a todas las personas en la unidad, incluso a los padres de los pacientes hospitalizados.

También cuenta con un casillero secreto, en el cual guarda materiales como lápices, témperas, stickers, pequeños regalitos, entre otros, para darles a los niños cuando están muy tristes o aburridos.​

Con un corazón gigante, lleva consigo un pedacito de amor a donde quiera que vaya y deja una huella profunda en todos aquellos con quienes se cruza.

As a nurse, she goes beyond her professional responsibilities by being attentive to the needs of both the children and their parents. Her dedication is exemplary; for example, when we had a patient with a prolonged hospitalization, she made every effort to ensure that his siblings could visit him. She even brought them a gift to share on the day of the visit.

In special situations, such as when she had to work the night shift, Sofía demonstrated her compassion and creativity. She organized a heartfelt ceremony together with her colleagues, during which they released balloons with messages to remember the children who had passed away during the year. This initiative involved everyone in the unit, including the parents of the hospitalized patients.

She also has a secret locker, in which she keeps supplies such as pencils, tempera paints, stickers, small gifts, among other things, to give to the children when they are very sad or bored.

With a giant heart, she carries a little piece of love with her wherever she goes and leaves a profound mark on everyone she meets.
