Sofie built a trust and relationship with our son immediately.
My 19month old son was brought to the children’s ER with difficulty breathing. He was diagnosed with RSV and bronchiolitis. He was on high flow oxygen and IV fluids. He spent 24 hours in the ER and was admitted to PICU. Sofie was his night nurse when he arrived and also the following night. Sofie built a trust and relationship with our son immediately. She kept a watchful eye on him outside his door both nights for the duration of her shifts. She carried out treatments, deep suctioning, suctioning, and saline for his nose, Benadryl for a rash (from detergent used on hospital bedding), and constant O2 monitoring. She adjusted his high flow and regular oxygen as needed. She brought two trucks for him to play with as he improved. She was reassuring and friendly. Sofie was by far, our best and most favorite nurse! Thank you for caring for our son!
