I am honored to nominate Soly Joseph, a distinguished nurse educator serving the DMV region of Kaiser Permanente, for the DAISY Award.

Innovative Learning Methods: Introduced engaging educational strategies, such as interactive games, to enhance learning experiences for preoperative, intraoperative, and PACU nursing staff.
Inclusive Participation: Ensured that all team members were included in educational activities by providing gifts to every participant, fostering a sense of community and appreciation.
2. Facilitation of Role Development and Practice Transitions
Simulation Exercises: Recreates innovative simulation scenarios tailored to real-life clinical challenges
Led hands-on simulations for critical scenarios like Code Blue and fire drills, actively involving staff to reinforce practical skills and preparedness.
Equipment Training: Coordinated in-services with product representatives, offering staff direct interaction with new equipment to ensure competence and confidence in usage.
3. Mentoring and Support
Individualized Guidance: Provided personalized support during transitions to new systems, such as specimen handling procedures, by walking staff through processes to ensure smooth adaptation.
Continuous Encouragement: Regularly checked in with staff to identify areas for further education, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development.
