Sommer Wiggs! 4 East Gem! One of the most compassionate, hardworking and caring nurses on 4 East. Sommer listens to her patients, she becomes their friend, that makes the patient and family very comfortable with her. One of her patient’s family had flowers delivered for her with a card that read: "Dear Sommer, thank you for being so kind, compassionate and so caring towards us not only for the patient but towards us and we are so proud to have meet you during this journey". This sums up how Sommer treats her patients at every opportunity.

When Sommer is here you know she is here. You will hear Sommer laughing with her patients and staff alike. Sommer is always willing to help. She is always there to help our patients and even assists with our schedule. I do not think you can find anyone who can imitate Sommer. To this day, we still have one card that a patient drew for Sommer posted in our breakroom. Sommer is the STAR and to us, she is our RN Star, the true essence of being a nurse. Compassionate, caring, understanding and always willing to be a helping Nurse.

Sommer is always willing to help her team no matter how busy she is. She always engages with her patients and listens to what they say. She is always positive and has a great attitude! She truly is an amazing nurse inside and out!

She is the true representative of a DAISY Nurse. She jumps up to help all the patients on the unit. Keeping all her patients smiling from ear to ear no matter what is going on with them.
