Pouring her heart and soul into the Riverside Team for over 36 years, Sonia leads the D3 Unit with compassion, kindness, dedication, and a drive to always get it right for our patients. You know someone is a great leader when their team asks you to make sure and give her some sort of award. Sonia’s team has been our COVID Med Surg for most of the pandemic and she helped the team stay strong and proud of the healing work that they provided to so much of our community. Sonia has one of the lowest turnover rates for nurses in the facility and generally has few openings because her team stays with her and is committed to the service of their patients. She is one of the most wonderful human beings you will ever be privileged to meet. Her passion for others shows through in all that she does for patients and staff alike.
