I had a medical procedure performed at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and was initially scheduled for only three days, but due to some complications, I was receiving treatment for six days. I'm happy to say that I am doing much better now and it is in no small part due to the care I received at Cottage. The care I received overall was very good but I wanted to highlight the outstanding care that I received from Sonia Furnival.

Sonia was extremely competent, and she not only provided excellent care but also explained everything in an instructive way and helped me understand what was going on. This does a lot for a patient who feels vulnerable due to their diminished condition. She would make an excellent professor. Sonia also had to do several activities that were of a sensitive nature, and she handled those with grace and professionalism. This inspired confidence in her and Cottage and as a patient, I cannot overemphasize how much of a relief it is to have someone so competent and caring watching over you. Sonia has my gratitude for being here for me and my family during a difficult time.
