Recently a patient came in and had a baby. They had a house fire in the past and they lost everything. Sonia exemplified a tremendous compassion for this patient and organized a drive to provide clothes and other essential items needed by mom and new baby. Not only that, but she took it upon herself to start a campaign called Project Onesie. Inspired by this patient, she has now created a donation program for baby clothes and items to give to those in need. She has inspired the others in the OB department to make donations and to help out when patients are struggling and in need of extra care. She has gone above and beyond not just for this one patient but now for many patients and babies going forward with this new and successful program. Sonia is truly an asset to the department and hospital and a blessing to all patients and families she comes in contact with.
