Sonia was the primary nurse for an infant with very complex medical needs. She fearlessly advocated for the best care with physicians on the baby's and parent's behalf. She spent hours holding and talking to him. Sonia also purchased clothing and toys for the baby. She supported the patient's parents by speaking honestly about the baby's condition in an encouraging and loving way. During the baby's last moments, Sonia came in on her own time to show her love and support to the baby and family. She loved this baby and exemplified what true love and care are.
