I became 10cm dilated at 7 pm (right at the change of shift) and Sonia decided to stay for my delivery, making her 12-hour shift into a 15+ hour shift. She was by my side encouraging me the whole 75 minutes that I pushed. As a first-time Mom, she made my labor experience as enjoyable as possible. I could not have pushed my 9-pound baby without her. I will tell my son about her every chance I get.
