Our daughter was transferred to Comer Children's Hospital at the University of Chicago Medicine from another Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the Chicago area. We were so overwhelmed when we arrived. Sonja was our daughter's nurse that very first day and reassured us that all would be fine. Sonja ended up taking our daughter on as her primary nurse and stayed with us through the course of our daughter's several month-long stay. Sonja put us through "baby boot camp" before we brought our daughter home. She prepared us for being new parents at home with our daughter. We love Sonja and continue to keep in touch. Sonja and our daughter have a bond that no one else has and we are so grateful to have met her!
