Sonja is the epitome of excellence in nursing and bedside manner. Not only is she a caring nurse, demonstrated by her attentiveness, skill, and communication (not to mention compassion!), but she is responsive and respectful of her physicians and gives good reports to her coworkers.
As a former nurse/patient, I appreciate and notice other professional nursing care given and even in a weakened state, emotional due to my needs. Sonja kept me as well as my family laughing and kept our minds off the negatives! It was truly a delight to have her attention for 2 days while in the room on the cardiac unit. Her coworkers respect her as I am sure many patients and families do. She is the type of person you want to adopt. She went out of her way to make us comfortable and cared for which made an uncomfortable situation better.
