Sony is very good at relating to her patients on a personal level. One particular day, she was able to prevent an at-risk mental health patient from a serious self-harm event. She addressed the physical emergent issue, provided a calming presence to her nurse colleagues, and was able to show empathy to the patient. She is warm and friendly, but at the same time, sets firm limits as was necessary with this patient. She relates to her patients on a level that they can understand; providing compassionate, excellent care in a warm loving way with humor. Sony is a newer nurse but is an asset to us on ortho and at St. Clare.
