Sonya exemplifies all that a primary nurse should be. Each day she participates as expected in bedside rounding and asks questions pertaining to her patients' care for that day. I never see her without a smile on her face. I have witnessed her providing disease education to patients on admission, during their acute stay and on discharge, multiple times. She has gone above and beyond to provide quality, compassionate care for our patients.
