Sook is a team player, patient advocate, and cares deeply for her patients. On her own time, she is very active in her church and takes multiple mission trips each year to spread preventable medical knowledge. Each year during the holidays she comes in on her days off to play her flute to the patients in PCU. Last week Sook connected with a patient who also plays an instrument and travels on frequent mission trips. The patient stated how he would absolutely love to hear her play. The next day Sook came in on her day off (with her twin16-year-olds) and they all played for the patients. The patient she connected with was moved to a different floor, and she sought him out to play with him. The most beautiful part of this day is when Sook (and her children) were playing songs for a patient who recently became comfort care and that patient's daughter. It had brought the daughter (and PCU staff to tears). Such beautiful music from such a beautiful person. Sook would take the shirt off of her back to help anyone in need, or just give a hug to make them feel better. She goes above and beyond to promote compassion and kindness. She is a true DAISY Nurse.
