I have been impressed by the compassion shown to me by Sophia Abuya. Her willingness to explain the, what and why of my treatment has surpassed that of her counterparts. She has a job, dealing with all types of people; some of whom can be very difficult. In the midst of my pain, Sophia was able to make me smile. In her words, “nursing is more than just a job it is a calling." I am glad she answered the call.
