Sophie is an excellent nurse leader who works closely within the Sight and Sound Directorate. She has worked very hard, in conjunction with her education team, to help ensure that staff on Panther Ward are tracheostomy-competent. She has helped increase our skill mix on the ward to ensure we have safe staffing and the staff are receiving the correct training for this skill.

Without Sophie, we would not be where we are today. Thank you, Sophie, for all your hard work, and we appreciate you. She is approachable, patient, understanding, and caring. These are all brilliant attributes towards the "always-welcome" trust value. Sophie is always willing to teach others her expertise and is always willing to learn in order to improve her skills. This makes her a great educational leader for not just Panther Ward but also Outpatients.

Sophie is always willing to work as one team across both Panther Wards and Outpatients. She is also willing to work within her scope of practice.
