Sophie spent the last 45 minutes of her 12-hour shift trying to teach her 75-year-old blind patient how to flush her nephrostomy tube. The patient was adamant about going home instead of SAR at discharge because she "has been independent this long, and I don't want to lose it now." Sophie also created a sample tube with a port for the patient to practice on.
