Soumia Morales, RN

I entered Encompass Rehab Hospital from another hospital due to a head-on automobile accident. My body was beaten and broken, along with mental and emotional distress from losing my mother in the accident. Soumia was my first nurse as I entered rehab. Never having experienced any hospital stay, the fear of the unknown consumed me. Soumia took care of me not just during her scheduled time in my area, but she continued every day, even if it was just to say good morning at the start of her shift in another area. She was so compassionate and caring during my emotional breakdowns that she offered to have me come to her area of work that day. She made sure I was doing ok whether that was a listening ear or just a hug to say I'm here for you. She never forgot about me, and I will never forget her! As I continue to heal, I will return to visit and pay back the compassion and care I was so fortunate to get from Soumia! She is truly remarkable!
