Spencer has been an incredible RN angel to our family, especially with his amazing care for my husband. Spencer has been the night nurse for many nights taking care of my husband. Spencer talks to my husband and truly cares. Before Spencer walks into our room, he has caught up on my husband’s progress and has all the night’s medical supplies in hand. Spencer walked in last night, for example, with a compression stocking to help with my husband’s vascular cellular fluid condition. Spencer thinks “outside the box” in trying to find solutions that will help my husband recover. Spencer was the first RN after my husband completed three weeks of a lung transplant to check and see if we could evaluate for a Passy-Muir Valve. Spencer treats my husband like family, asking if he is hot or cold, or what his current pain level is at the moment, or pinpointing the area of pain. His evaluations are thorough, and he is constantly checking on my husband’s vital signs. Most importantly, Spencer also treats my husband’s family with great care as well. When we sleep in the room, we hardly hear a sound from him, all while giving my husband great care! Spencer preps the dialysis bags right when he starts his shift to eliminate any nighttime noise. Spencer is excellent and deserves recognition!
