I am so grateful to have met Spencer as my nurse. He took great care of me. Spencer kept me informed on my medical plan and remained very punctual when administering my treatments.

Spencer has such a positive attitude that it rubbed off on me, so any anxiety I had come up during my visit was quickly dispelled because I knew he would do his best to take care of me.

At the beginning of my admission to the hospital, I felt sort of down in my spirit but, with the help of Spencer, I quickly transitioned out of that headspace.

While being taken care of by Spencer. I gained the confidence I needed and the positive reassurance that made me feel that I would heal in no time.

Living with sickle cell anemia can be very difficult and taxing, but with nurses like Spencer, I have hope that other people living with sickle cell and myself will have less anxiety when it comes to visiting the ER while in crisis.
