Spring exemplifies the spirit of magnet in multiple ways. She is always up to date on current evidence-based best practice. If I ever have a question concerning evidence-based patient care, I can always trust Spring to have the answer. She is a great resource and a great teacher. She is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and she has her Critical Care Registered Nurse Certification. I am currently studying to obtain my CCRN as well, and Spring has been very helpful in educating me and helping me prepare for the exam. She was my preceptor when I was orienting to the critical care unit and she taught me a tremendous amount of information. I am very grateful to have had Spring as my preceptor.
Spring is a great nurse to work with and I know it will always be a good shift when Spring is working with me because she is always willing to help, no matter how busy she is. Spring is a great team player. She works many days of overtime to help the unit out whenever we are short staffed. On top of that, Spring is always compassionate, respectful and loving towards all the patients on the unit. The patients and family members love Spring because she explains everything in easy to understand terms and alleviates their fears and anxieties with her soothing tone of voice and genuine personality. She is very meticulous with her practice and always collaborates with physicians, therapists, dieticians and other disciplines to make sure that her patients receive the best care possible. She truly is the epitome of a holistic nurse. On top of all this that she does for her patients and coworkers, she is also participates in unit council and is active in conducting performance improvement projects for our unit to ensure that we continue providing quality evidence-based patient care.
