I recently had procedures scheduled that I was terrified of! I dreaded that day from the day it was scheduled. Upon arriving at the unit, I could feel my anxiety growing and with the pandemic, I did not have any support person with me. Laying in the hospital bed, I felt scared, anxious, and honestly wanted to get up and run. But then Stacey Christianson and I started talking as she took my history, went through what to expect, each step of the procedures, and just shared her knowledge. It was at that moment that I realized I was in great hands and that I had nothing to worry about. I am a Sanford Nurse and having the high standards I do for care, I was so moved to realize that I was receiving that same standard of care. It was a heartwarming feeling to know that our Sanford nurses truly are the best! It made me proud to be a nurse! Right before my procedure, I received a text checking on me and I was able to respond that I was calm and doing great all thanks to the care and support that I received from Stacey!
