Following surgery, I had the worst pain I had every experienced in my life. When the nurse came back with the medication after 20 minutes, I was in severe pain. After shift change, I met Stacey, who asked about my pain and devised a plan to "stay ahead of the pain". She suggested when the pain got to a 4 or 5 on the pain scale that I take the medication which got the pain under control. She was compassionate. She listened to me. She was efficient and very professional. Above all, I felt like she truly cared about me.
