Stacey is definitely one of our hidden heroes at UMC. She works constantly and consistently behind the scenes volunteering to support UMC and our community. She donates hours and hours of her time to help build ramps in our community for people who do not have the means to have them built. This enables wheelchair-bound people to have better access in and out of their homes. Stacey also volunteers hours at Lubbock Impact. Recognizing that she could garner support with some provocation, Stacey has begun challenging different units in the hospital to also help at Lubbock Impact. This of course makes for more progress in building, but also stirs up the service is our passion motto for each of us here at the hospital. There have been several units to join in the "Passion in Action" campaign by helping Stacey there. Stacey recently volunteered at a local event where we noticed that the hospital could benefit from some props that the event was using. Stacey, without hesitation, volunteered to build the props herself for the use of the hospital. Stacey always leads by example and is always in the middle of whichever event that she is soliciting help for. She is the first to volunteer and the last to leave. So grateful to have a leader that is so willing to lead by example time and time again!
