December 2023 Honoree
Stacey LeJarza, BSN, RN
I am the son and caregiver of my 92-year-old father. He suffers from a build-up of fluids in the pleural cavity and has Alzheimer’s. We were told he was a candidate to have a tube placed so he could be drained at home, but we needed to make a family decision. When we decided to have the procedure, Stacey went about and beyond to coordinate contacts with floor doctors, pulmonologists, radiologists, case management, etc., to get things started. Unfortunately, a doctor later decided that he was not a good candidate after all, but she made this so good for both family and patients and showed sincere empathy during the whole process. She is definitely an asset for Memorial Hermann Northeast, showing sincerity for our situation. Thank you, Stacey.
Thank you, Stacey, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
