Stacey Smith 2024, LPN

Stacey is the protime clinic nurse here in our office, and we have been coworkers for three years now. Every patient who sees Stacey regularly loves her dearly and speaks highly of her. My grandfather was one of her regular protime patients. He came in weekly and monthly for his INR checks. He always talked so fondly of Stacey and enjoyed getting out of the house to come and see her. He always looked forward to his appointments. She made him feel cared for, like a friend. She was so patient with him and listened to him intently.

My grandfather was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and was no longer able to come into the clinic for his INR checks. He was so upset because it meant he would no longer get to have his visits with Stacey. Even though he was no longer her patient, Stacey went out of her way to call him weekly to check in on him and ask how he was doing. In his darkest times, the care she showed him was a bright spot. Stacey gave him joy during this time, and that meant so much to him, myself, and our family. My grandfather has passed away now, but my family will always remember the excellent care and friendship she provided to him. Stacey is truly an amazing and caring nurse. She will always hold a special place in my heart for taking care of my grandfather.
