Stacey put me at ease from the very beginning of my treatment.
After turning 63 this year during early COVID days, and fortunately no prior major healthcare issues I received the shock of a lymphoma diagnosis. I found out I would be doing inpatient chemo, and this would be my first time ever in hospital. Of course, I was scared and unsure what to expect. The wonderful oncology nursing staff helped get me through treatment and contributed to a successful outcome. Stacey on the night shift stands out among this stellar group. Stacey put me at ease from the very beginning of my treatment. She has a wealth of experience and knowledge. I observed other nurses and staff looking to her as a mentor. Stacey gives you confidence that she is extremely clinical competent and is an educator, and a patient advocate. Maybe most importantly to me, as the patient is her excellent bedside manner. She is always calm and positive which was so important to me. I got to know my nurses' schedules and had such peace of mind when I knew Stacey's shifts were coming up. I had an overall positive experience at Christus St. Vincent Hospital and Cancer Center. I have shared my story with many. The nurses whom you spend so much time with determine how you feel about your hospital stay and I have only positive feedback. I will always remember Stacey as I think back on my cancer treatment this year. Thank you, Stacey!
