She saw the pain I was in, she heard my heavy breathing, she calmed me down. When she felt I was safe she went back to work.
On Tuesday 1/2/24 Ms. Williams and I crossed paths by the pharmacy. I had been in the pharmacy early that morning to refill a prescription. Ms, Williams knows me as I am a patient in one of the clinics. When she saw me she was taken aback by my disheveled appearance. I was on my way to the pharmacy to pick up my meds before going home. We spoke and she became concerned when she realized I was heavily breathing and weak. She offered to get me a wheelchair and I refused. She saw my face and I saw hers. She really cared about my well-being. She did not have to stop at all. She does this because this is “who she is”. Her face said it all. She was worried about me like I was family. She showed me Love. I really feel that Ms. Williams does this “on the regular” but no one has ever spoken up. I’m not going to let her efforts go unnoticed. Her words inspire me to pull through. I want her everyday actions to be noticed. Her face said it all. She displayed all the ICARE PRINCIPLES Most of all she showed me love. She saw the pain I was in, she heard my heavy breathing, she calmed me down. When she felt I was safe she went back to work. If she had stayed 2 minutes more she would have seen me cry. Ms Williams is very deserving of The DAISY Award. I know in my heart she didn’t do all this just because it was me. She did this because this is “who she is”. She showed me love!
