Stacy was covering another nurse for lunch when she learned about a patient. He came to the ED for abdominal pain and was told he would have to start hemodialysis.
He made the decision to not pursue any further treatment and returned home. His daughter was traveling, and he had no way back to his home in Arkansas.
Stacy drove him home with one of our techs. They got him into his wheelchair, up the ramp, and into his home.
Stacy always gives compassionate care to her patients and does whatever she can to go about and beyond.
