Today we recognize Stacie Davis for her true compassion for nursing. Stacie has been at SLEH for 10 years starting here as a Nursing Assistant and has been a nurse for a little over 3 years. In May, Stacie was nominated for the Clinical Excellence award with the feedback of being a compassionate nurse and a strong advocate for her patients. She was nominated as a Safety hero in 2019, has become a Professional Preceptor and has received multiple DAISY nominations. She demonstrates leadership and steps into the Charge Nurse role with great ease.
Stacie's peers describe her as accepting, calm, adaptable, approachable, kind, and funny! She relates well with everyone and remains calm and focused when faced with tough situations. She is not afraid of the hard work and is willing to step in to help in any situation. She is able to have open honest conversations with her patients and family members.

I came to the hospital with a lung infection, an addict, addicted to drugs multiple times. But Stacie was nice and understanding and because of her I am 11 days clean today and going home to my kids. I believe you are an angel God sent to keep me grounded at this hospital until my head got cleared. I can't think you enough!
